DIRECTV Gemini Driver
Crestron Home IP control driver for the DIRECTV Gemini family.
Find the drivers in Crestron Home Setup
In Pair Devices, select the room and add the driver from the locations below. For an existing driver, use Check for Driver Update.

Titan Pairing Utility: Drivers > Utility > Titan Technology > Titan Pairing Utility. Add it in Setup, then open its tile in the Home app. If you already use Gemini Pairing Companion, follow the one-time replacement steps below.
Titan Pairing Utility 1.3.7 needs DIRECTV box driver 1.3.13 or newer. Use Check for Driver Update to install the latest catalog version.
License Manager: Drivers > License Manager > Titan Technology > Titan License Manager.
When activating a purchased license, select Systems > Add system on the Titan website. Copy the automatically displayed Registration Code into License Manager’s System Code field and press OK. After assigning licenses to the System, select Refresh licenses.
DIRECTV favorites setup
Choose the correct local TV provider for each DIRECTV box in Crestron Home Setup. This gives Crestron Home the right channel lineup for advanced favorites control.
- In Pair Devices, find the DIRECTV box. Open its settings with the gear button, then select Provider.
- Select the provider that matches the customer’s DIRECTV service. If it is missing, select + Add New, enter the country and ZIP code for the home, then choose the matching provider and select Add.
- Open the DIRECTV source in the Crestron Home app. Add a favorite channel and select it to check that it tunes to the correct channel. If it does not, check the provider and local channel lineup.
Launch streaming apps
Open Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Max, Hulu or Prime Video from the driver's Additional Functions. Your installer can also add these commands to Crestron Home Quick Actions. Each app must be available on the box; its own login or subscription may be required.
Gemini Air needs good Wi-Fi
Check for a strong, stable Wi-Fi signal where the Gemini Air is installed. Weak Wi-Fi can cause buffering, failed pairing and unreliable control. Fix the connection before testing the driver.
Control method
The driver connects directly to each compatible DIRECTV box over the local network using Android TV Remote Protocol v2 on IP port 6466. Add Titan Pairing Utility from Drivers > Utility > Titan Technology in Crestron Home Setup to pair the boxes and manage their pairing.
Compatibility
This driver is made only for Crestron Home. It is not a Crestron SIMPL driver.
The driver is for the DIRECTV Gemini family. Each controlled box needs network access from the Crestron Home processor and its own pairing with the Titan Pairing Utility.

7-day trial
Eligible installations have a 7-day local trial to test pairing and IP control. A license is required to continue after the trial; downloading again does not restart it.

You will need Titan Pairing Utility to pair the box for control.
Updating an existing system?
Back up Crestron Home and update the box drivers in place. Keep their IPs, Box IDs and saved pairing. To use the renamed utility, finish or cancel active pairing, add Titan Pairing Utility, verify your boxes, then remove only the old Gemini Pairing Companion. Do not remove or reset the box drivers.
Pair a box
Add Drivers > Cable Box > DIRECTV > Gemini Family IP Control. Enter its IP and a unique Box ID for each box. Make up your own ID, such as KITCHEN-TV. No spaces. Use a DHCP reservation or static IP address.
Add Drivers > Utility > Titan Technology > Titan Pairing Utility on the same processor. Open its tile in the Crestron Home app.
- Finish video routing and show the correct box on the TV. Open Titan Pairing Utility in the Home app; select DIRECTV, Android or All. The dot marks the selected filter.
- Choose the box, check its IP address, then tap Start pairing.
- Enter the six-character code shown on the TV, then tap Pair. The code can contain numbers and letters A–F.
Wrong box or no code? Tap Cancel, choose the correct box and try again. To erase saved pairing deliberately, tap Choose box to start over on the main pairing screen, select the box, then confirm. You will need to pair that box again. Box status is a read-only list.
After five minutes without activity, Titan Pairing Utility stops checking boxes. Tap Refresh boxes to wake it and update the list. While it is asleep, Box status shows the last checked information. Pending pairing or cancellation keeps checking until it finishes.
Titan Pairing Utility supports compatible Titan DIRECTV and Android TV drivers on the same processor. It needs no separate license. The Android TV driver is available in Crestron Home Setup.
Install or update in Crestron Home Setup
- Open Pair Devices, select the room, and add the driver from the catalog location listed above.
- Add Titan Pairing Utility, then open its tile in the Home app and follow the pairing steps above.
- For an existing driver, use Check for Driver Update, then test the controls.
When you are ready to buy, create an account or sign in, add License Manager, register your system, purchase and assign its licenses, then select Refresh licenses. License Manager normally checks daily. Refresh requests an update now; keep the processor online and allow a few minutes for confirmation. The Website and License Manager guide walks through those steps. A license is needed to continue after the trial ends.
Testing does not extend the trial.
